This double album is the result of a collaboration between human creativity and the possibilities of artificial intelligence.
Time is one of music’s quietest companions; some songs reveal themselves instantly, while others wait in silence maturing and finding new meaning.
Each track carries the fire of youth, traces of passion, searching, and existence itself. During the recording process, the texture of the past was preserved while the technology of today was used as a creative tool.
This double album rekindles that first spark because some stories can only be truly heard when their time has come.
In this double album, I’d like to express my gratitude to my dear friend Gürtuğ Peker for his lyrical inspiration;
to Fatih Erdemci, who planted the first seeds of the songs inherited from our high school band Ardor;
to The Post Office Band members Savaş and Korel, with whom I co-created “Neden”;
and to my beloved wife and daughters, for their endless support throughout this journey.
Born in the seaside neighborhood of Moda, Kadıköy, Ertan Demiralp is an Istanbul-based independent singer, songwriter and guitarist whose sound blends Rock, Blues, Folk, and Jazz with cinematic emotion and storytelling.
His musical journey began in 1987 with classical guitar and music theory training. In the late ’80s, he co-founded the Hard Rock band Ardor, marking his first step into the stage life that would define the next decade. Throughout the ’90s, Demiralp became an active figure in Istanbul’s vibrant live music scene, performing with numerous bands including Ardor, Parted Quartet, Los Quemeros, The Post Office Band, The Peri Band, The Durusu Band, and Nev’s Band.
After the 1999 Türkiye earthquake, he took a long hiatus from performing, shifting his creative focus to the digital world. Yet music remained an inseparable part of his life. Over the following two decades, he composed dozens of songs reflecting his evolution as both a musician and storyteller.
In 2021, Demiralp returned to his roots with his first solo Hard Rock single, “Sahipsiz Yollar”. The track signaled a new era defined by artistic freedom, emotional honesty, and the fusion of classic influences with a contemporary sound. He released his long-awaited Folk/Rock projects “ Black and White Stories - Part 1 & 2” in 2025.
Today, drawing inspiration from around the world, Ertan Demiralp continues to craft works that bridge past and present guided by the same passion that began by the sea in Moda.
